
Marla Milne began a career in New York City as a graphic designer after graduating from Washinton Univercity/St. Louis with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Over a career spanning 30+ years she continued learning from top designers such as Milton Glaser; Herb Lubalin; David Enock and Stanley Eisenman. Throughout a diverse career as a designer of corporate identity; annual reports; packaging; motion graphics; and finally ground breaking graphic arts software for Macinstosh computers; she practiced her profession in Brazil and numerous European countries as well.
In 2006, while accompanying her husband on a scientific research project in the Bolivian lowlands, she picked up a water color brush and never looked back.With continued studies at The Art Students League and workshops with artists Jada Rowland, Naomi Campbell, David Dunlop and Duane Kaiser; she has progressed to working with oil as well.
Marla has exhibited at the Upstairs Gallery above Fiedler's in Greenport, Cutchogue Library, the East End Arts Council, the South Street Gallery, the East Quogue Library, and the Floyd Memorial Library. For the past two years she has participated in group shows with Artists of the North Fork. Additionally she has completed several commissions in oil and watercolor for private parties, architectural firms, and the Village of Greenport.
